“I hope that when people walk into the Donkey Mill, they have the same feeling I did when I first came here. We are an art center but, far beyond that, the Mill stands as a sanctuary where history, community, and art converge, inviting all to explore, reflect, and find how art and life cross.” -Juliette Puplava

As the Guest Services Associate for the last two years, Juliette imbued the role with her enthusiasm, energy and dedication. As an artist herself, she found a home here quickly amongst staff, students, teachers, keiki, and fellow artists. She has been a welcoming presence at the front door for anyone entering the Mill, creating instant connections with regulars and visitors alike.

While we know that Gerald’s bread will forever hold the #1 place in your heart, we, as the staff and community, are proud to be #2. We are grateful for the brightness you infused into our days. Thank you for caring for our space and community each day. A hui hou from all of us at the Mill!
