In one of his final interviews before his passing, Frei Otto reflects on how the tumultuous years surrounding WWII shaped his pioneering work in tensile architecture. Alongside influential figures like Buckminster "Bucky" Fuller, Walter Gropius, Frank Lloyd Wright, and Richard Neutra, Otto emerged as a true visionary. His unique approach to form-finding not only addressed structural challenges but also sought to solve social issues, laying the groundwork for modern architectural practices.
