Event Description: All About Wauke! brings together a panel of dedicated wauke growers, kapa artists, and cultural practitioners for a lively and insightful talk story session exploring the joys of growing wauke (paper mulberry) to make making. This gathering dives into the personalities of wauke, philosophies of cultivation, and tips for growing and working with this valuable canoe plant. From soil to strip, participants will hear personal stories, challenges, and wisdom from those who live and breathe wauke. The morning wraps with a potluck—celebrating community, connection, and the shared nourishment of knowledge and food.

Event Details: Participants are encouraged to bring a dish for a potluck gathering following the panel.

This event is free and open to the public. We encourage registration for this event although it is not required.
