Description: Join Cris Lindborg in an engaging parent + child workshop! Sensory play and creativity can help activate the senses, build nerve connections in the brain, and help in the development of fine motor skills. These hour-long workshops will allow for art exploration as well as socialization for keiki ages 2-5 years old. Sensory play is not just for kids, it inspires all of us to explore and be curious.

This class is for adults and children to engage in together! An adult must accompany the child(ren) registered for this workshop. When registering, you may register one or more children as attendees ($10 per child, adult attendance is free). If you have any questions regarding the registration process or to receive more information about this workshop, please contact the Front Desk during open hours.

Watercolors: Using the ocean and its creatures as inspiration we will explore color and texture through watercolor. With an array of colors available, we will apply paint in several sensory methods: dipping, squirting, and brushing on both dry and wet paper. Create a fun art piece to share with loved ones.

Age: Ages 2 – 5

Please note: Registration for this class will close on Saturday, November 8 at midnight.

Today, Cris Lindborg holds the esteemed position of director emeritus at the Donkey Mill Art Center. From her base in Hōlualoa, Hawaii, she continues to fervently pursue her passion for art, letting her creative spirit flourish amidst the vibrant landscape of the Aloha State.

About Our Programs: As a place of convergence, the Mill serves as both a community and a physical place–celebrating the power of the arts, bringing people, ideas and perspectives together. We are proud to offer adult and youth programs that focus on awareness of one’s individuality in the contexts of family, community and the natural world. Our exhibitions provide a space to reflect, share perspectives and grow as a community. Our classes & workshops are designed to inspire creativity, foster connections, and provide enriching experiences for all participants. We invite you to join us in the studio.
