Description: In this workshop, participants will explore the art of block printing through reductive techniques, creating bold, layered designs. Working step by step, students will carve and print each color layer from a single block, gradually building an image that evolves with each pass. The process encourages patience, experimentation, and trust in the unfolding design.

This workshop emphasizes collaboration, with students exchanging ideas, motifs, and visual rhythms. By the end, participants will leave not only with vibrant prints but also with a deeper appreciation of the dynamic, cooperative energy at the heart of printmaking.

Level:  Beginner, Ages 14+

Please note: Registration for this class will close on Saturday, January 24 at midnight.

Supply fee includes:

  • All materials for this workshop are provided: blocks, carving tools, inks, and paper.
