About the Hawaiʻi Handweavers’ Hui: HHH is a statewide organization with branches on Oʻahu, Maui and Hawaiʻi Island, serving over 170 members. Activities include workshops, member meetings, community demonstrations, sales, and classes in weaving and fiber arts—offered at our new home in Honolulu at the Downtown Art Center. In the pursuit of excellence, HHH organizes a juried biennial exhibition and awards an annual scholarship to an emerging weaver. Through ongoing mentorship of new weavers and spinners, HHH continues to perpetuate the joy of our craft.

As a hui, HHH embraces diverse approaches while fostering both creativity and technical skill. Their work reflects the unique voices of our member-artisans—whether island-grown or from far-flung places—representing a wide range of experiences and expertise. Enveloped in fellowship and mutual support, HHH inspires each participant; shared knowledge sparks both innovation and deeper understanding.

About Our Programs: As a place of convergence, the Mill serves as both a community and a physical place–celebrating the power of the arts, bringing people, ideas and perspectives together. We are proud to offer adult and youth programs that focus on awareness of one’s individuality in the contexts of family, community and the natural world. Our exhibitions provide a space to reflect, share perspectives and grow as a community. Our classes & workshops are designed to inspire creativity, foster connections, and provide enriching experiences for all participants. We invite you to join us in the studio.
