About this Exhibition: The Donkey Mill Art Center’s 19th Annual Art Auction, Interwoven, celebrates the power of the arts to weave together people, ideas, and perspectives into a stronger, more vibrant whole. This year’s theme honors the collective strength that emerges when many become one, much like ʻaha, a woven cord symbolizing strength, knowledge, and unity. Each artwork contributes to a shared visual narrative—a contemporary expression of how individual stories and materials intertwine to shape a resilient, creative whole.
Interwoven features over 75 works by emerging and established artists from Hawai‘i and beyond. As West Hawai‘i’s premier art event, the auction presents an exceptional selection of ceramics, paintings, kapa, photographs, prints, lauhala, jewelry, and more. Each piece is a vital thread that strengthens the fabric of the Mill’s creative community.
