Event Description: Lisa Geertsen is an artist blacksmith from Seattle, WA. Owning and operating Firelight Forge since 2007, focusing on custom commissions ranging from architectural work to sculpture. She is inspired by the beauty and forms of nature and the transformational process of working with metal. Making art not only transforms the materials one uses, it also has the power to transform the maker. In addition to the Artist Talk, Geertsen will also be teaching the 4-day workshop Introduction to Chasing and Repousse.
Event Details: The evening's program will start at 6pm after a welcome and potluck. This event is free and open to the public. If able, please bring a healthy dish to share and/or something to drink for a communal dinner. The artist talk will begin at 6:00pm.
