Setsuko Morinoue’s vision and passion have transformed not only the Donkey Mill Art Center but our broader community. She has shown us the incredible possibilities that arise when creativity and purpose align. Her guiding philosophy “art is life, life is art” continues to shape the heart of the Mill, inspiring how we bring our mission to life every day.
Thank you, Setsuko, for your spirit, your vision, and incredible dedication to the Mill and this community.
The Donkey Mill’s Visionary Award celebrates those that help to make the Mill a place of convergence, a place where art is considered a necessity, where community comes together to learn and share. This award honors the critical role the person has played in the life of the Mill, for those that saw how things can be different in the community and acted. Honorees are seen as central to our work and impact.
