We’re excited to welcome Brit Horn to the Mill as our new Operations Manager! Bringing a thoughtful and heart-forward approach to her new role, we’re thrilled to have her experience, energy, and care supporting our community.

Brit’s path to Kona began far from the coffee farms of Hawai’i Island. Raised in the suburbs of New York City, she was pulled to Hawai’i by a curiosity about coffee and the interconnection of complex human relationships within that industry. Kona’s coffee culture, being rooted in multigenerational stories that connect to consumers around the world, offered a deep perspective of the importance of humanity in agriculture.

With a vision to support an evolving coffee industry by connecting people through education, transparency, and collaboration, Brit co-founded Pacific Coffee Research (PCR) in 2017. PCR continues to provide coffee services across the islands today. Running the business for nearly a decade taught Brit most of what she knows about operations, leadership, and building a dynamic community-centered and heart-forward organization. She carries this experience into her new role with pride.

“The Donkey Mill is a welcoming and happy place that fills my soul with joy and hope. The Mill deeply aligns with my passion for education, creative collaboration, and cultivating community partnerships. I am honored to participate in a mission that elevates the human experience and our collective well-being through exploration of arts and culture.” —Brit Horn
